A MAN was assaulted and stabbed in a dispute about the use of a cup on Friday, 22 June at a Clairwood taxi rank.
The man grew thirsty while in Clairwood when he saw a cup lying about.
He picked it up and took it to the tap to drink water.

“While drinking water he was approached by a group of men,” said Montclair SAPS spokesman, Dereck Vijiam. One of the men from the group wanted to know why he was using his cup.
The group grew aggressive towards the man, and out of fear, he decided to run. The group chased after him and began punching him while one stabbed him with a knife.
