Police search for murdered man’s family

WENTWORTH SAPS is appealing for assistance to locate the family of a man who was found murdered in Jacobs this morning (10 August).

At about 7.20am, police were informed about a man who was found dead under the bridge in Lansdowne Road. The man, who is believed to be in his 30s was found with multiple stab wounds to his body.

The motive of his murder is unknown.

“At this stage the relative or the next of kin is unknown to the police and we appeal to the community to assist in tracing the victim’s relatives,” said Wentworth SAPS communications officer, Cpt Mbuso Gumede.

A case of murder is being investigated.
