By Bolt-on-Wanderers

PAT and Terrance McGlynn of Wanderers Bowling Club won their section in the men’s nationals being played in Johannesburg this week.

Unfortunately they lost in the next round, but did the club proud in a rain and wind-affected weekend.

The club wishes the teams under Richard Hendicott and Gary Moffat well in the fours which started on Monday, 15 May.

Wednesday bowls at the club was sponsored by Rawsons Montclair, with 14 sides attending. Honey claim both prizes in the first 60/40 board and Honey also won the second board, but asked for a re-draw with the spoils going to Ken Thomas and Dawn Spack. Thanks, Honey. The meat raffle was won by Chris Pozyn, and the lotto was a carryover to R921.

Travis and Wesley claimed the first prize 4+15, first session went to Bob Hayward and Andy Cloete 2+11, and the second session went to JHB visitor Danie and Ronnie Jackson 2+15. Thanks to all the support fellow bowlers.

The annual Dan Draper tournament takes place this year for the 69th time from Monday, 3 July to Friday, 7 July. Richard and Jean are currently preparing the invites, so get your teams together.

Our thoughts and prayers are extended to those members on the recovery list, get well soon fellow Wanderers.
