New Scholars put aside first day jitters

Montclair Junior Primary School grade R pupils give their new school a ten out of ten

IT was a successful first day back to school with thousands of returning and new pupils flooding local schools as they excitedly began the new year on Wednesday, 11 January.

The young children nervously latched on to their parents, unsure of what to do with the new world they entered, while eager returnees couldn’t wait to let go of their parents and reunite with their friends and catch up with holiday stories.

It was a busy day with teachers calmly and swiftly organising each child into their classes and already keeping them busy with activities. One little girl from grade R at Bluff Christian Academy, who carefully coloured in her picture said she likes her class and the colouring in.

While the earlier grades enjoy playtime and other fun activities, a year of hard work lies ahead for the new matrics of 2017 as they begin their journey to the final exams.

Staff from all schools wish their pupils good luck in their studies and hope they continue to prosper.
