There is probably no scientific proof that they work, but they sure make us feel better.
2 Tbls brandy or whiskey, but OBS will also do it
1 Cup boiling water
1 Tbls honey
1 Tbls lemon juice
A sprinkling of cinnamon or a star anise (optional)
Add boiling water to the rest of the ingredients. Stir until the honey has melted. Cuddle up in bed and drink your toddy while it’s still hot.
This basic recipe is just a starting point for experimentation.
Other possible additions are rooibos tea, fresh ginger, lemon zest or other spices like cloves or nutmeg.
