Thumbs up for new Bluff traffic lights

IT is green for go on Tara Road, as the traffic lights at the bottom of Zinto Cele Road (formerly Bideford) and Tara Road went live on 22 August.

“After months of construction and planning the traffic lights were officially switched on. The purpose of these traffic lights is to improve the flow and safety of traffic for all road users,” said ward 66 councillor, JP Prinsloo.

Since the lights went on, many Bluffites have taken to social media to call for more traffic calming measures in problematic areas, like Brighton Road, Beacon Road and Boynes Road.

“A big thank you to each official who played an integral role in making this project a reality. This is one step closer to achieving our vision for our beautiful community.”
