War for the planets of the apes hits South African cinemas

It’s the legendary war against human and ape in the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster, Planet of the Apes. Ceaser, the intelligent and well spoken leader of the apes goes up against a deadly army of humans led by a ruthless colonel played by Woody Harrelson.  The movie has been released on South African cinemas today (14 July).

Planet of the Apes is not just an awesome movie but it comes with tons of history and fun technology:


Hi tech! A lot of hard work went into the making of the movie, including the amazing and awesome motion capture technology working hand in hand with one of the greatest motion capture actors, Andy Serkis. He is famous for playing Golum/Smeagol in Lord of the Rings franchise, King Kong in Kong, Caesar in the Planet of the Apes franchise,  Supreme Leader Snoke in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), and Baloo in Jungle Book (2018), just to name a few.

Did you know: Planet of the Apes is an American franchise that started in the 60s. The first film adaption, Planet of the Apes, was a critical and commercial hit in 1968.
